CE MARK 
From January 1, 1996, products sold in the European Community must comply with Electromagnetic Susceptibility rules as
described in IEC
0801.
These include
- 0801-2 Electrostatic discharge
- 0801-3 Radiated Susceptibility
- 0801-4 Conducted Susceptibility
- 0801-5 Lightning Strike
An IEEE spec also covers near lightning strikes. This is IEEE C62.41.
The evidence of compliance is a "CE MARK" affixed to the product to indicate that properly supervised tests have been performed and that evidence of this, together with a Technical Construction File is available at a facility in Europe.
The schedule for receiving the CE mark is for the
FAW to be complete in October, the HSP
, HSM, RAX and RCW in November and MRW and KRW in
December. Among Kepco's instrumentation products,
ATE, BOP,
JQE and MBT are scheduled for the CE mark in December. Other products will be submitted for the CE mark and will be listed in future issues.
