Series RA 19 Rack Adapter User Configurable Keying |
RA 19-(X)B Keying HSF power supplies are keyed by voltage at the factory. The keying mechanism will prevent engagement of any of the HSF power supply's connectors with those on the Series RA 19 rack adapter's back plate unless the key and keyway align. The user can configure each slot of the rack adapter for the desired voltage in the desired position. For RA 19-(X)B shown at right installing a key (pin) in the location corresponding to HSF output voltage ensures that only the correct HSF power supply can be installed in that slot since corresponding keyways on the HSF power supplies are set at the factory. For the RA 19-1U and RA 19-4C, four threaded keying holes for each power supply slot are provided on the rear panel. When 4-40 x 0.75 in. thread-forming screws are installed according to the keying chart shown below, only power supplies of the indicated voltage will be accepted. This can be done without disassembling the unit.
