Kepco, Inc. today announced price reductions up to 14% on its popular RCW-series power supply line effective July 15 1999. The reductions price the 1500 watt models, in 100 pc lots, at the same low level as the non PFC, selectable a-c, models in the older series RAX. In 100pc lots, either model is available at $1219.75 each. The effect of these dramatic price reductions is to make the wide-range a-c input circuit of the newer RCW models, with their harmonic-reducing Power Factor Correction (PFC) input available at NO premium! FREE! Power Factor Correction is required by most European customers to comply with IEC recommendations and VDE rules for the reduction of harmonic pollution fed back by large power supplies onto the a-c power grid. PFC is increasingly popular among domestic customers as a way of reducing the peak a-c current that large power supplies, such as Kepco's 1500 watt Series RCW, draw from the line. Similar price reductions also affect Kepco's 750 watt and 350 watt RCW models. Both RAX and the newly-priced RCW models are available off the shelf.
