Kepco, Inc. announced, effective July 15, 1999, price reductions up to 9% on its popular FAW-series power supply line. FAW are open-frame (L-chassis) power supply designs which feature a universal (wide-range) a-c input which functions equally on any mains voltage from 85-264 Va-c. The price reduction puts the FAW price in line with non-wide range a-c input models such as the Kepco series FAK power supplies. In effect, the buyer gets the universal wide-range a-c input for free! For example, the 100 pc price for Kepco's popular 50W FAW is now $86.70, exactly the same price as the 115 V ac input, FAK model in the 50W size. FAW models are constructed in a low-profile aspect which suits them for applications in which space for the power supply is at a premium.
