1500 Watt Additions to Kepco's HSP Series

Kepco's HSP group are plug-in power supplies that fit three abreast in a 3U X 19" rack housing to provide N+1 redundancy for mission-critical applications. With optional internal "or-ing" diodes they allow for hot-swapping. The original HSP were rated for 1000 watts of output power at voltages from 3.3 to 48 volts. The new 1500W models raise the available power in the higher voltage models to 24V at 60A, 28V at 53A and 48V at 30A respectively. The 1500W models operate from 180-277V a-c mains with power factor correction (PFC) to suppress the harmonics per EN 60555-2 and EN 61000-3-2. The 1000 watt HSP have a wide range a-c input from 90-277V a-c.

HSP allow remote control of the voltage and current channels over a 20-100% range with a 0-10V analog signal. There are set-point monitors to permit on-line adjustments. A switch selectable Bellcore - type current "walk in" characteristic is provided for battery charging applications. Front panel status indicators monitor power, d-c fail, overtemperature and fan failure.These signals are also provided as form C relay contacts. HSP meet all EN50082-2 (heavy industrial) immunity levels including mains lightning surge (ANSI C62.41). They are recognized components with SELV output per UL 1950, CSA 950 and VDE 950/EN 60950 for a-c mains operation.
