A Vision for the Next 50 Years

It is, of course, not possible to articulate a forecast for the next half century and I am not so confident as to try. Beyond continuing the legacy of the past 50 years and building upon it, those of us who now shoulder these responsibilities do share a more immediate vision.

My cousins and I, are dedicated to continue to serve the market for standard and modified-standard power supplies. We intend to maintain our leading position in the field of programmable supplies in both analog and digital modes. We plan to exploit the benefits of switch-mode technology in the construction of instrumentation-type power supplies. Among the benefits we expect to realize are simpler construction, reduced size and weight of the product: lower cost and equal or superior performance.

While we expect to continue to manufacture and sell linear and ferroresonant technologies for many years to come, it is quite apparent that the dramatic improvements in switch-mode topologies make it the choice for future power supply programs. You can see the specs on our ABC digitally programmable switcher which embodies these ideas.

A second major goal for Kepco is to increase market share in the growing modular power supply market. This will be accomplished by strengthening our relationship with our partners of 20 years, the TDK Corporation, and with our own design teams. We will apply innovative design ideas to increase the value we can provide to our customers in terms of features, cost and reliability.

We believe that in these two market areas, we can build upon past success while earning an acceptable return on our investment and providing meaningful and gainful employment to our staff.

Kepco has always been a customer-oriented and family owned company. All of us have a real stake in maintaining a close relationship with the users of our products. We have been privileged to know many of you personally and eagerly await the opportunity to meet and serve more of you.
