RA 55 RACK HOUSING
RA 55 accommodates nine (9) plug-in MST
power supplies in a standard 19-inch wide rack mountable housing. Each power module can produce up to 200 watts, so that the total for the rack can be 1800 watts. RA 55's leftmost slot can be used to hold an interface,
MST 488-27, that will allow the
remaining eight (8) MST modules to be fully programmed via the IEEE 488.2 instrumentation bus. The rack has two a-c input
connectors to allow the load to be distributed over two mains circuits. The a-c is distributed internally to the plug-in MST
power supplies.RA 55 is CE Marked per the Low Voltage Directive (LVD), EN61010-1 in accordance with the Conditions of Conformance.
The rear of RA 55 has individual d-c output connections for each MST power module and a D-type serial bus connector for the BITBUS connection to the power modules. The MST modules plug in individually from the front and will current-share for redundancy combinations.
RA 55-24, RA 55-28, RA 55-48, Rack Adapters for DC Input
Three RA 55 rack adapters, RA 55-24, RA 55-28 and RA 55-48 are designed specifically for the 24, 28 and 48V DC Input Model MST Power Modules. Shown below are nine MST Power Modules in the RA 55-28 Rack Adapter configured in a MIL-STD 28800 compliant transit case.
CA 400 HOUSING
CA 400 is similar to the RA 55 except it is a housing which accommodates five (5) plug-in MST
power supplies and can be used to mount MST's in non-standard racks. Each power module can produce up to 200 watts, so that the total for the housing can be 800 watts. CA 400's leftmost slot can be used to hold an interface,
MST 488-27, that will allow the
remaining four (4) MST modules to be fully programmed via the IEEE 488.2 instrumentation bus.
