Accessories: Current Sensing Resistors |
To request pricing for any of the current sensing resistors listed here, click These precision, wirewound sensing resistors may be used to provide a voltage drop proportional to load current for use in providing current feedback. Select a resistance to drop as close to 1V d-c as possible at the maximum desired current setting; e.g., for 0-20 ampere service, select the 0.05 ohm resistor. For best stability, the resistors should be mounted to a heat sink and/or air or oil cooled to minimize the temperature rise. Use Kepco Model KT 1304, the 1000 ohm rheostat, to provide the current feedback. For information on the methods of controlling current, refer to Applications Notes. All sensing resistors are 4-terminal devices with separate current and potential connections. Clearance holes for #4 screws are provided. NOTE: Contact Kepco if you need help choosing the correct sense resistor for your application.
